Iris SDK

Iris SDK is the core library that implements IriTech's state-of-the-art iris recognition algorithms. It is proven software already deployed in many government and enterprise installations. This algoritm was ranked #1 across many categories of performance in the recent NIST IREX I benchmark study (see Benchmark Results).

Iris SDK has been developed using the C/C++ programming language and offers a set of ready-to-use API functions, making it easy for developers to create applications in C/C++ languages. The software is highly scalable for use in projects as large as national ID databases. Key features include:

  • Highly accurate iris feature extraction (template generation).
  • Rapid and accurate iris feature matching (template comparison).
  • Advanced Image Processing, Image Quality Assessment, and Image Enhancement.
  • Ready for forthcoming ISO standards including Rectilinear (K1), Cropped (K3), and Cropped and ROI-Masked (K7). (Iris SDK Ver 2.0)
  • Capable of handling JPEG and JPEG2000 compressed images. (Iris SDK Ver 2.0)
  • Supports many Windows Operating Systems, including Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2003 Server, and Windows 2008 Server.
  • Supports the most popular Linux distributions, such as Red Hat, Fedora, Suse, Debian, or Ubuntu.
  • Conforms to the current ISO Iris Image Standard 19794-6.
