IriTech’s drug pre-screening solution is an
effective and economically compelling complement to conventional drug test
methods such as urine and blood testing. When used in conjunction with
traditional methods, the IriTech system can realize savings on the order of 80%
for test administrators from law enforcement agencies, correctional
institutions, the military, government organizations, and pre-employment
screening departments in private industry. Making the good news even better,
the system is also non-invasive, tamper resistant and fast.
IriTech’s DM technology analyzes over 40
parameters of pupil reaction to a brief flash of light – similar in intensity
to a camera flash – to detect irregularities that indicate drug presence in the
body’s system. The method is a pre-screen in that it does not determine which
drug of abuse a person has consumed; however, it is sensitive to impairment
from narcotics, methamphetamines, and marijuana. By screening out the vast
majority of test subjects who do not show drug presence and therefore do not
require the more costly and time consuming urinalysis or blood tests, the
IriTech system offers huge cost efficiencies and increased effectiveness.
In independent test environments, IriTech’s DM
technology could detect illicit substances in a test subject’s system up to 21
days after a substance abuse incident (versus 3-4 days with urine analysis).
Additionally, DM technology is not susceptible to detoxification solutions
designed to help drug abusers pass urine and hair drug tests.
