Dr. Daehoon Kim is president, CEO, CTO and Founder of IriTech. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University. He was previously a Research Associate at the Mayo Clinic in the USA and a Principal Research Scientist at the Korean Institute of Science and Technology.
Since 1994, Dr. Kim's singular focus has been on the iris recognition space, where he is widely recognized as an industry pioneer. He is an active member of the INCITS (International Committee for International Technology Standards) Task Group on Biometric Data Interchange Formats. He has played an instrumental role in accelerating the development of critical biometric consensus standards for evolving US and international security systems.
